I am a qualified Stress Management and Resilience Coach and EMDR practitioner who specialises in helping my clients make positive changes to their lives by building resilience and improving their overall wellbeing. I work holistically, focusing on the whole person; which is essential to make lasting changes. My clients learn how to reduce some of the pressure they are under and make better choices. It is a privilege to watch people progress after our coaching sessions.
It seems that almost every conversation I have with people, both children and adults, revolves around how they feel that life is too busy. There is a constant refrain of 'too much, too busy, too much pressure, not enough time'. Through coaching I can help my clients change this refrain and regain some much-needed balance.
Previously, I've worked in TV Production, Events, Marketing and PR in the UK and Spain, as well as having a career break to look after my children. This means I have a good understanding of the pressures that face others: whether stay-at-home parents, those who are self-employed, working for small companies or large multinationals. I am thrilled to have found a career that I am passionate about, which allows me to help others too; and so, after retraining, Essential Focus Coaching was born.
I am a member of the Association for Coaching and have an Integrated Diploma in Resilience and Wellness Coaching and a Certificate in A Mindful Approach to Weight Management from Wellness Professionals at Work. The diploma and certificate are accredited by the Association of Coaching and the National Council of Psychotherapists. I am also certified as an EMDR practitioner by the EMDR Centre London. I have a current DBS certificate. In my spare time I volunteer for the mental health support line Shout.
